Apple announced technical specs for their Macbook lineup. This video previews a first look at the next OSX software dubbed Lion. It seems that operating systems are moving towards a much more interactive direction. However, it is also becoming much more constrained.

Multi-gestures for the input touchpads or mousepads are neat but only when they work properly. Also, given the limited space of touchpad or mousepad inputs, there is always chance it becomes more of an annoyance than a productivity gain.

I can understand the need for multi-gesture input methods for touchscreen devices like the Apple iPhone or any other mobile device with a touchscreen. But the truth is, experiences with touchpad or mousepad with multi-gesture capabilities have not always been pleasant.
